Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
(R) – Director Tim Burton,
Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter back together again in this spectacular musical revenge. |

I Am Legend
(PG13) – Will Smith keeps his winning streak alive with this science fiction horror last man on earth scenario. |

Alvin and the Chipmunks
(PG) –Enjoyable family film with techno restylings of all the old Chipmunk hits. |
| |

Charlie Wilson's War
(R) – Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts star in this Adam Sorkin/Mike Nichols comedic
tale of how we supported the successful covert war against Russia in Afghanistan. |

National Treasure: Book of Secrets
(PG) – It looks like a Nicholas Cage box office hit, and I like the idea of attaching a cartoon before the movie. |

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
(R) – Either you get it or you don’t. If you do get it, the film is a lot of fun. |
| |

P.S. I Love You
(PG13) – Hilary Swank is our
best young actress taking a
break in this romantic comedy
for the “Friends” crowd. |

The Great Debaters
(PG13) – It sometimes seems
like every famous Hollywood
actor wants to try his hand at directing. This time it is Denzel Washington’s turn to try. The movie looks good, and I expect a job well done. |

Juno
(PG13) – Coming after his Thank You for Smoking, this newest Jason Reitman film makes him a filmmaker who has made two delicious films in a row. |
| |

The Water Horse
(PG) – Until I hear good things from you, I will probably go back
to see ALVIN and the CHIPMUNKS. |

Alien Vs. Predator - Requiem
(R) - Any movie that reminds you
of
the two originals, Alien and
Aliens, is worth a look. |

There Will Be Blood
(R) - And there will be real blood if this Paul Thomas Anderson/Daniel Day-Lewis movie doesn’t hurry up and get to Las Vegas sooner rather than later. |
